The Week in Links #1
ByChewing Pixels has had a Twitter feed for a couple of months now but it’s only really in the last week that I’ve swallowed my scepticism and started using it properly, primarily as a link stream for interesting things that don’t quite deserve a whole post of their own.
You can follow along here if you’re signed up to the service, but don’t worry if you’re not, as I’m going to start a weekly round-up on the best things that have featured on there.
Here are the things I’ve enjoyed this week, many of which will be TOTALLY OLD to you, some of which, hopefully, won’t be. here goes.
Best Famicom game logo of the week.
Some good and solid observations from JC Barnett on Vanillaware’s beautiful new Wii game, Oboromuramasa.
Pigs might fly. Design + Current Affairs Satire = All Win.
Windowsill is the best Flash game I’ve enjoyed for a while now.
Kids beware: never trip while playing Hopscotch.
Mario Christmas bauble, a snip at just $125. But wouldn’t it have been more apt to use a gold star, non?
Jaw-dropping demo for a game titled, Shadow Physics. 2 years away from release, regretfully.
The Teenagers’ remix Phoenix’s 1901. The soundtrack to the Lost in Translation sequel that will & should never happen.
And finally, a man in Brazil is caught coughing.
