Stardust Tourism Movies
A couple of weeks back I finished doing some work for Paramount’s forthcoming Stardust movie. For those who don’t know it’s an adaptation of the similarly-titled Neil Gaiman novel, two parts Princess Bride, one part The Office.
The screenplay’s been written by Jane Goldman, spouse of film critic Jonathan Ross and it stars Sienna Miller, Claire Danes, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert De Niro, Ricky Gervais and Adam Buxton from Adam and Joe amongst many British others.
It’s a pretty good movie with spark and soul and, while De Niro’s basically just winging it (see also: last twenty years of career) his sections are watchable and fun.
The following is one of four promotional shorts to promote the film. My friend Ste worked on the writing with me and I did a bunch of editing, sourcing of old music, tweaking clips etc while the other far more talented people at Littleloud created the 3D environments and spiffing After Effects work.
Until I can get some sweet embed stuff working here’s a direct link to a high-quality version of the first one.
Here are versions of all four in high-quality over on Littleloud’s site.
You can see all the movies on Youtube here albeit in lesser quality.
